Professor Ozaki's Ellis R. Lippincott Award ceremony, award lecture, award symposium, and award party were held at SciX 2025.
The Ellis R. Lippincott Award is jointly administered by Optica (formerly the Optical Society of America), SAS (Society for Applied Spectroscopy), and the Coblentz Society, and is regarded as the highest honor in the field of vibrational spectroscopy.
Japanese recipients of this award to date include Professor Takeshi Oka, Professor Mitsuo Tasumi, and Professor Isao Noda.
The award recognized Professor Ozaki's extensive research in vibrational spectroscopy. In his award lecture, titled "SERS Studies for the Last 30 Years in the Ozaki Group at Kwansei Gakuin University," Professor Ozaki presented on the group's research on SERS over the years.
At the award symposium, lectures were given by Igor Lednev, Duncan Graham, Janina Kneipp, Harumi Sato, and Hidetoshi Sato.
